What is Orting Standing Together on Prevention?
Orting Standing Together on Prevention,
formerly Coalition for a Drug and Alcohol Free Orting,
is focused on reducing alcohol and drug abuse among
community youth.
What is our goal?
Our mission is to
educate and mobilize the community in reducing substance
abuse among our youth so that they may thrive and reach
their full potential in a safe and healthy environment.
Our vision is a
community coming together to promote and sustain a substance
abuse free lifestyle among our youth.
Who are the supporters?
We are federally funded by the Drug Free Communities
division of the Office of National Drug Control Policy.
Our fiscal agent is the Puget Sound Educational Service
District.
Who are we?
We are a network consisting of parent volunteers, law
enforcement, mental health, drug and alcohol, social
services, business communities, faith-based organizations,
community coalitions, community members, families, youth,
civic groups and school personnel.
All coalition members possess a deep commitment to the
health and welfare of students and a passion in working to
reduce substance abuse in the Orting community.
